Storing in Ohio's climate

Ohio swings between humid summers and freezing winters, so a drive-up unit sees both mold and frost. Typical winter lows run from under 20°F in the north to the mid-20s in the south, cold enough to split anything holding water. Drain hoses, sprayers and engines before December, and keep paint and electronics in climate control. In summer, leave gaps between boxes and walls and add desiccant.

Storage rules in Ohio

Ohio’s lien notice can move quickly. Under Ohio Revised Code 5322.03, the notice only has to give you 10 days after delivery to pay. If you do not, the sale is advertised once a week for two consecutive weeks and can take place 15 days after the first ad.

The gap between notice and auction is short, so pay or call the facility the day a notice arrives rather than waiting to see the ad.
